Haruka is an orphan and the older sister of Tsubomi. Both she and Tsubomi were taken in by the same man who encouraged Haruka to join the Otome-gumi Haruka is a clumsy girl who has trouble being punctual, although it is initially believed that she has the lowest spirit power she is second only to Oriza in the Otome-gumi, and just lacks control of her powers.

Haruka is well liked by her peers though she often irritates them and ends up the subject of a lot of jeers. She is one of the few who believe Oriza should be a member of the Otome-gumi and actively goes out of her way to befriend her.
