Overview

A Dark shadow has been cast over the city of Paris, Erica Fontaine a slightly ditsy Nun is the first of five young girls who are recruited by Grand Mere and Sakomizu to be part of the second Kagekidan defense program; The Group Fluer De Paris or the Paris Kagekidan Hana-gumi.

The story begins with Erica and Grand Mere meeting, we then learn that Grand Mere and Sakomizu are putting together the Paris Kagekidan assult force, based out fo the cabaret Le Chattes Noires. Erica has a hard time fitting in and is constantly messing up, she also feels depressed that she dosn't have any friends outside of the the Kagekidan program. While praying on the street she meets Glycine, Glycine is instantly attracted to Erica's innocence and good humour and the two become friends.
In the evening Lobelia fleeing from the police runs right into Erica, the two are knocked to the ground and that allows the police to capture the criminal; mistaking Erica as Lobelia's accomplice she is arrested aswell. Lobelia escapes and Erica is released and then scolded by Father Leno of brining shame to the Church; when Erica asks the preist about the "good stuff" men and woman do together in the early morning, Lobelia had been talking about it in jail, the embarrassed parishioner searches for something to tell the impressionable novitiate and seeind a dance poster, tells her that it's dancing together in praise to the Lord. Later Erica enlists Glycine's help in feeding the poor and we learn that Glycine takes great pride in her role of being a noble and providing and protecting the people, but also that she has a sense of futility and feels that the role is useless in these days. While she and Erica enjoy lunch suddenly storm clouds appear over the city and Erica senses the presense of evil, Glycine follows her and comes face to face with a monster, the two vanquish it and Glycine becomes the second member of the Paris Kagekidan, Grand Mere sends word to Tokyo to have Oogami transfered to Paris.

Grand Mere and Sakomizu discuss even with Coqulicot and Oogami there are still not enough members of the Paris Kagekidan, and they set up a massive operation to capture Lobelia. Grand Mere orders Oogami and the PKD on standby alert, not wanting to bring them in the operation and cause friction with their future team mate, but having them there if they should be needed. Despite the great ammount of resources involved Lobelia evades capture, until Sakomizu himself brings her down with a bullet through the chest, when Grand Mere chasties the Japanese consul for aiming too close to her vital organs, he informs her that he was trying to kill the woman, it was the only way he'd be able to survive. But Lobelia is safely captured, and the Paris Kagekidan is one step closer to completion.

Oogami writes to Yoneda giving is insights on each of the diffent girls; a fake remote controlled pawn arrives created by the Douglas Stewart company. Before the Pawn is deployed in a mock battle with the PKD, Salut embues it with a spirit and it attacks them for real. Erica and Oogami manage to get their Kobu Fs and defeat the pawn, but then it takes on the form of Oogami's Kobu F, the rest of the PKD send their spiritual power to Oogami and he defeats it.
